9 History

In Year 9 History, students explore the Industrial Revolution with a focus on child labour before moving onto the reasons for early settlement in Australia, the Indigenous perspective on settlement, and how the discovery of gold impacted on the colonies.  The causes of World War One and the impact of the war on the newly federated nation of Australia will also be also examined. Students will further hone their analysis of primary and secondary sources through interrogating their reliability and bias. Students continued to develop their oral presentation and essay writing skills.
