This is a one semester course. In this elective you will learn about cells and their organelles and their importance in inheritance. You will develop an understanding of how DNA allows heritable traits are passed from one generation to the next.
You will learn about the theory of evolution by natural selection and how it explains the diversity of living things and is supported by a range of scientific evidence. Year 10 Biology is a pre-requisite for VCE Biology plus at least one of Chemistry, Physics or Environmental Science.
