Recently, in Year 9 Science our students have been learning about plate tectonics. This week they have been working on an engineering design challenge to build an earthquake resistant building.
Some of the leading designs channeled the work of Japanese architect, Shigeru Ban. Although some groups have had to go back to the drawing board, team work, problem solving and creativity has shone through in this task.
They have also been modelling different types of plate boundary to show how movement at the plate boundary can change the surface of the Earth.Top job, Year 9!
