Our indigenous students attended GMHBA for the annual Aspirations Days (Years 7-9 attending Monday 4 and Years 10-12 attending Tuesday 5 April), organised to encourage them to think about and connect with their passion, identify their strengths, think creatively and be inspired about their future. The students were able to hear an inspirational talk by Isaiah Firebrace, played traditional games, took part in art workshops and collected a great deal of careers pathways information. Along the way many formed new friendships in the many varied activities.
Our Year 12 Fire Carrier Leaders, Bree Hutchinson and Jiealla Guttie-Galpin, were recognised as Year 12 students and were presented with a ‘Year 12 student’ glass memento from the day, depicting Bunjil. Congratulations Bree and Jiealla!

Thanks to our supportive staff, Justin McInerney, Kate Connor, Jess Orton, Ash Milne and our Indigenous education worker, Sue Collins.
