The annual BASP Christmas Food Drive is back! The Clonard Living Justly team are excited to announce that we will once again be collecting both food and fund donations for the Brigidine Asylum Seeker Project in these final school weeks leading up to Christmas.
The Brigidine Asylum Seeker Project is a volunteer-run organisation that works to support refugees and asylum seekers who are unable to work due to the restrictions of their VISA, meaning that they are entirely reliant on donations from organisations like BASP for the most basic necessities.
So, the Clonard Living Justly team have organised a Christmas food drive to collect the necessities to help out refugee asylum seeker families doing it tough this year. All donations will go directly to BASP.
Items that could be brought in and left at one of the year-level collection boxes or in reception are as follows:
- Sweet biscuits
- Juice boxes
- Muesli bars
- Fruit bars or other healthy snacks
- Honey
- Instant coffee 100gr size
- Long life full cream milk
We ask that Clonard families do what they can to donate any items from the above list. There is a box in each Wellbeing classroom (except year 11 classes) and in the front office for any and all donations. We will be keenly accepting donations until the end of the school year. Please note that we cannot accept any opened or expired goods : )
Our 2025 Living Justly leaders, Emma W. and Sienna T., have also arranged a Bake Sale (to be held this coming Tuesday 19th November) as an initial fundraiser for the activities of BASP.
If your family is able to assist with a baked goods donation, please bring them in on Tuesday morning, they can be left in the Nagle Room kitchen – please leave a list of ingredients with your plate of goods and make sure all containers are labelled!
Thank you.
