Book an Adventure was the 2025 Book Week theme and this year Clonard students really did go on inspiring adventures throughout Book Week. There were a number of activities held in the library which included teachers reading to students, performing poems as well as discussing their love of books such as Frankestein and Great Expectations. There was a treasure hunt for book-related clues around the college grounds and a Shadow Judging activity related to short-listed books for the CBCA awards. Each day of Book Week library staff dressed in a different book character costume which helped to promote costume day which was held on Thursday August 21. A wonderful array of book character costumes were worn by students on the day with a large number of staff also donning colourful costumes to help promote the joy of reading amongst the students. The annual costume book parade around the college grounds was followed by an open mic of students and staff singing favourite songs in the glorious late winter sunshine. Thank you to all students and staff who dressed up on costume day and thank you to the tireless work of the library staff in promoting and managing this key event in the college calendar.
