As part of the Clonard Live 2025 series of live music events that are happening around the College throughout Term 2, our String Ensemble performed in the Brigidine Centre Library at lunchtime on Tuesday May 20.
The girls did a fantastic job, and a nice crowd turned out to listen and support them. Music Teacher Mae Udarbe led the musicians who were Livinia R and Jacqueline K on violin with Izzy A and Stella R on Cello.
The Clonard Concert Band also performed in the Library on Wednesday May 28 and was once again supported by an enthusiastic audience. Led by Allister Cox, the band members were Hannah G, Aniela C, Bailee B, Aylwen C, Meredyth W, Violet Y and Violet B.
Clonard Live 2025 will continue with the following performances:
- Rock Bands (junior and senior) in the Library on Wednesday 4 June
- Clonard Staff Band in The Oak Centre on Friday 13 June
Clonard Live 2025 has provided a fantastic opportunity for students to perform in front of crowds in a welcoming environment, helping to boost the musician’s confidence. The audience also benefit through the shared experience and joy of music appreciation.
It has been proven that live music improves happiness and wellbeing.
