The Year 12 Food Studies class have been busy. 20 kilograms of kindly donated fruit mix has been turned into 38 delicious fruit cakes, just in time for Christmas. These cakes are being donated to the Food Bank in Drysdale this week.
This exercise follows up on our excursion, earlier in the year, to the Food Bank. It is a wonderful community organisation that is reducing food waste in the community, while helping many families facing food insecurity. Terrific effort, girls and what a fantastic cause!
