Wellbeing

We believe that in such an environment young women can be encouraged to achieve their potential with confidence.

To help provide this climate, every student at Clonard is placed in a class group with a teacher (referred to as a Home Room Teacher) who has a special responsibility for her well being. This teacher has contact with the students in the class group at least once a day and will closely monitor their pastoral needs and general progress. Every effort is made for Home Room Teachers to teach the students in their Home Room Class  for one or more subjects.

Together with the Co-ordinator responsible for the whole Year Level, the Home Room Teacher is the first point of contact for parents who wish to raise any issue of concern regarding student well-being within the College.

A Pastoral Care Program is implemented at years 7 -10 and is delivered within the home room group over the year. The Pastoral Care Program is designed to meet student well-being and developmental needs specific to year levels.
