Ava (VET Music, bass guitar) and Meredyth (VCE Music Units 1 & 2, clarinet) recently represented Clonard College in an exciting collaborative music experience, joining students from St Joseph’s and Sacred Heart as part of a combined brass, woodwind, and percussion ensemble.

The students worked with the dynamic Sydney-based Hot Potato Band, renowned for their high-energy, interactive performances that bring contemporary brass music to life. Throughout the workshop, students learned repertoire together, developing their ensemble skills, confidence, and stage presence. The experience culminated in a live performance, where our students performed exceptionally well and embraced the opportunity to collaborate with a large group of young musicians from across Geelong. It was a fantastic day of music-making, connection, and inspiration.
