On Wednesday 18 May, two Year 7 and 8 teams headed to the Kardinia Park courts for GISSA netball games against St Ignatius.

In driving rain (at times) our girls did very well, managing to stay upright despite the wet, slippery conditions, and puddles!

Amazing organisation (despite being away ill) by Sports Coordinator Shelby Hackett, and some last minute volunteer players, meant the afternoon passed like clockwork, allowing 13 sodden netballers to make it back to Clonard in one piece!!

Congratulations and thanks too, to umpire Summer Cabby!!

Teams were as follows:
Team 1: Lucia B. Lucy S., Anessa C. Ruby S. Sophie N., Teliah T. And Mia B.
Team 2: Madison U. Maggie W., Eliza R. Emma W. Marli C. and Paige H.

Also, early in the month, students from all year levels represented Clonard at the SCSA Basketball tournament in Melbourne.

After moving up a division, our students had a much more challenging competition. As always, they wore the Clonard uniform with pride and represented the school in a very sportsmanlike manor. The results were:

Junior A – 4th Place
Junior B – 5th Place
Inter A – 5th Place
Inter B – 6th Place
Seniors – 5th Place

Congratulations to all those who competed. Well done.
