Justice Meal Day

On June 22, Clonard College hosted the much-loved Justice Meal Day, or Roll Day as it is more affectionately known.  On the day students and staff at Clonard stood in solidarity with the world’s poorest people to raise awareness of the injustice of wealth distribution both globally and in Australia.

On the day Clonard became a mini world.  For their gold coin donation students and staff received a ticket which determined whether they received a 3-course meal, a salad roll or a plain bread roll for their lunch.

For those who committed to the day, it gave them a small appreciation of what it is like to be truly living in poverty.

All proceeds raised will go towards supporting the work of the Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project.
