The Clonard College is located on the ground floor of the Brigidine Centre. It is a modern, vibrant, welcoming space which supports the learning and wellbeing of our school community in a safe and supportive environment. The library programme teaches effective and ethical use of information and develops critical thinking skills. It also fosters and promotes independent reading and creativity and provides equitably accessible resources to all users.
The library is open from 8.00am – 4.30pm each day during school terms. Library staff members are available to assist students and teachers with their needs. Years 7 and 8 classes attend fortnightly library sessions.
Students have access to a large collection of print and digital resources. Our collection includes fiction and non-fiction books, newspapers, magazines, eBooks, LibGuides, and online databases.
Students can participate in clubs and activities including Book Club, Minecraft Mondays, Drawing Club, Chess Club, and Homework Club. Included in our social spaces are craft activities, puzzles, colouring pages, card and board games.
Throughout the year, the library celebrates CBCA Book Week, Library Lover’s Day, and World Poetry Day. Students can participate in regular competitions and connect with visiting authors.
