A Cultural Banquet held last week set the tone for celebrating all things Multicultural. Our Year 11 students invited family members to assist them in making cultural dishes and sharing them as a banquet. The dishes ranged from savoury to dessert, showcasing a variety of cultural cuisines. The banquet looked absolutely delicious and was enjoyed by all.
A Hope banner has been created and all students are encouraged to write the work Hop in their native language, or language of their choice onto the banner which is located in the Brigidine Centre foyer.
This week saw lots of Multicultural activities underway including the following;
Tuesday 11 – Students worked on Cultural identity collage creations in the Art room, these are now on display in the Brigidine Centre.
Wednesday 12 – An Afro Beat Dance class was held in Tressider Hall with lots of students getting involved.
Thursday 13 – Food trucks, cultural sweets bake sale, cultural games were celebrated in the junior yard at lunch time. A Gozleme making workshop was held in the Foodtech rooms. An open mic was held out the front of Clonard House.
