It was so rewarding for some of our Year 11 and 12 students to hear this week from past students Ava Hyland (2023) and Cinnamon Sarkis (2023) about their experiences of transitioning from Clonard to university.
Ava and Cinnamon, both of whom are studying combined degrees of Law and Criminology, returned to Clonard to speak of their experiences of joining lectures, seminars, online classes and assessments, as they navigated the very different, independent world of tertiary studies. They provided practical advice about meeting assessment deadlines, the challenges of attendance with no rolls being marked, seeking out assistance from tutors and lecturers, juggling the need for part time work with university timetables, and overcoming the pressures of VCE to survive and thrive at university.
Thanks so much to Ava and Cinnamon for sharing their advice to our VCE students this week!
