
Performing Arts Week – Week 10 Highlights
This week has been full of creativity and talent across the school! Here’s a look at the exciting events that took place as part of Performing Arts Week:
Monday 23 June
Metamorphoses – A theatrical and movement-based experience for Year 7B, 7G, and 7P in the Kildare Theatre during Periods 1 and 2.
Students explored storytelling through a powerful blend of drama and dance, bringing classical myths to life in a visually rich and expressive performance.
Tuesday 24 June
Music Ensemble Evening – A night of outstanding musical talent in Tullow Hall.
Rehearsals took place during Periods 5 & 6 for Year 7B, 7G, and 7P.
The evening featured performances from:
- Year 7 Ensembles – Including a lively rendition of La Bamba and other vibrant group pieces
- Rock Band Ensembles – Junior and Senior bands brought high energy and enthusiasm to the stage
- Clonard Arts Showcase Singers – Delivered a powerful performance of The Greatest Show
- Flossie LC – Moved the audience with a beautiful solo on guitar
- String Ensemble – Added elegance and harmony to the evening with their refined performance
- Staff Band – Brought great spirit and energy, showing that creativity has no age limit!

Thursday 26 June
A Murder at Birchwood Boulevard – An original production by the Year 9 Theatre Studies students in the Kildare Theatre during Periods 5 & 6.
Written and performed by the students themselves, the play impressed with its suspenseful plot, clever dialogue, and confident performances.

A special thank you to the Grade 5 and 6 students and their teachers from Holy Spirit Primary School who attended and supported the performance with enthusiasm.
A huge thank you to the students, parents, and all staff who supported the events this week – your time, passion, and talent made it truly special.
And a heartfelt thanks to our dedicated music tutors for their expert guidance and encouragement throughout the week.
