Pre CAL re-grow vegetables

Another week of remote learning ticked off and we’ve had some great learning experiences that may never have eventuated in traditional learning conditions.

Some students were given the challenge to re-grow vegetables at home from scraps and germinate seeds with re-purposed waste.

A few successes this week include:
Carrot tops shooting from tips in a small bowl of water. Use these in salads and pesto.

Bok choy re-shooting from the discarded base of the plant to be used in stir-fries and ramen bowls.

Fennel and celeriac re-shooting ready to be planted in the ground and reproduce.

You can try this at home, the options are endless!
