On Thursday 13 June, Clonard Staff member Abbey Blackley, along with a small group of GForce Industry based TAFE students, was selected to meet with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and local Member of Parliament Libby Coker at the Flying Brick Cider House on the Bellarine Peninsula. Abbey discussed her pathway from completing Year 12 at Clonard College, to then completing a Certificate III and then IV at Clonard College as PE Trainee/Education Support member of Staff through funded TAFE programs supported by GForce Geelong. Abbey is now a Clonard employee involved in Sports Admin and Education Support based work. GForce and funded TAFE courses are a much valued partnership with Clonard College. Congratulations Abbey!

Abbey shared this with us; ‘On June 13 I was able to meet Anthony Albanese and speak to him about my experience over the last two and half years completing my Certificate III and IV in Education support as part of the Government Free Tafe Courses, I was able to share how the cost of Tafe being covered by the Government allowed me to focus on my studies and encouraged me to complete my Certificate IV.’
