Unit 4 Food Studies class are back in the kitchen for semester 2.

Yesterday, they made wholemeal, chocolate and cricket biscuits. Yes, that’s right, cricket’s!

Some of the wholemeal flour was substituted with cricket flour. The consumption of insects in the future as part of our regular diet is quite likely. It is a sustainable future food with loads of nutritional value.

Cricket flour is a complete protein, rich in minerals and high in B vitamins. In every 10 grams of cricket flour, there is 6 grams of protein! So jump in and give it a go.
