Congratulations to Alumni and Colleague Abbey Blackley who received the 2024 Inspiration Award: Overcoming Adversity at the annual Victorian Apprentice Training Awards held at the Plaza Ballroom Melbourne on November 20, 2024.
After Graduating Yr 12 at Clonard, Abbey completed her Cert III and IV in Education Support/PE Traineeship through GForce, at Clonard (host employer) in 2022-23 (with an extension into 2024). She was nominated for this award by GForce Geelong in partnership with Clonard College, and she was one of four finalists from well over 100 nominations around Victoria.
Abbey’s commitment to her studies and resilience to complete her Traineeship under difficult personal circumstances has proved inspirational to staff and students alike. Well done Abbey on completing your Cert IV and now working at Clonard currently as Inter school Sports Leader/Learning Support Officer.
