As part of VET Creative Industries studies Year 11 VCAL students engaged in a workshop with Karen a local business owner of Sopo Candles. Karen spent the morning teaching students how to make their own soy candles and blend fragrances to create their own unique candles. Karen shared with the students the steps that need to be included in creating your own candle business and ideas the students need to consider. The class will be working next term to create their own creative candle business to sell to the school community.
