On Thursday May 16 the Year 12 VM and VPC class travelled into Melbourne to visit Monopoly Dreams as part of their unit of work in Numeracy.
Monopoly Dreams is a multi-sensory experience that featured augmented reality, 4D technology and provided the opportunity for our students to literally step onto the streets of a Monopoly City and complete numerous games and challenges.
Students have been exploring board games to understand the Maths Problem Solving Cycle. They have had the opportunity to play some games in class and have been evaluating and completing a positive -negative analysis based on their experiences in the game.
Students have returned to school ready to start creating their own board games. It was a great day for all involved and we are looking forward to seeing their creations.
