On Friday 13th October, 15 year nine students and two staff went to the Kardinia netball courts to participate in the annual Barwon Respect Netball Cup. This event started in 2013 and this year eight schools attended. Thank you to the City of Greater Geelong for facilitating the day and to all the presenters who gave their time, including the Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre, Barwon Community Legal Service, Netball Victoria and headspace.

Our students were active participants in workshops on issues such as coercive control, gender stereotyping and being an active bystander. This year we may not have won the netball but we certainly came away with skills and knowledge about respectful relationships.
