Why Join the Clonard College Community?

Located in Herne Hill on Wathaurong Country, Clonard College is a Catholic girls’ school founded in 1956.

As a Kildare Education Ministries School in the Brigidine Tradition, we currently educate just over 920 students, from the areas of Greater Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula, Surf Coast Shire and the Golden Plains Shire.

At the heart of our College community is a commitment to nurturing faith, as we continue the traditions of our founders, responding to the values of wonder, justice, courage, compassion, hope and hospitality.
Whilst we treasure and value our traditions and heritage, we are a College that is responsive to the dynamic nature of the world in which we live. We actively work to make sure we are giving our young women the tools they need to succeed in the present as well as the future. Our track record demonstrates the impressive accomplishments of our graduating students, and we strive for ongoing growth for both our staff and students.

Clonard College Master Plan

In 2019 the College commenced a new 10 year Master Plan for the site. The agreed Master Plan is based on contemporary and state of the art learning environments embracing our pedagogy and ensuring the built form met the College’s needs, now and into the future. The focus is on flexible learning spaces that can be adapted to different modes of learning to suit our student’s needs, as well as planning for future growth and revitalisation of our existing building stock.

Construction of Stage 1 STEM building commenced in January 2023 and is well underway, with the building ready to be used for the start of the 2025 school year.

Engaging with our local community provides context and authentic learning experiences beyond the classroom that allow the most amazing and meaningful learning experiences.
Having started my career at Clonard as a graduate teacher, I have been afforded many opportunities for support, guidance, and professional learning in order to develop my career in education. I have had various opportunities for mentorship and coaching, not only to develop as a teacher, but also as a leader. Clonard provides a range of leadership opportunities, at a range of levels, that allow teachers to access leadership and build on their skills and nurture their passion.
