Thank you to all the students and staff who contributed this week for International Women’s Day.

We acknowledged and celebrated the achievements of women with a number of events and activities throughout the week, organised by the SRC team and Health & Wellbeing Leaders.

In addition to our International Women’s Day Breakfast held on Wednesday, the SRC team organised the following activities:

Monday and Tuesday – Little Women movie screening
Wednesday – ‘Guess Their Story’ Guest speaker panel
Thursday – Open Mic (Boss Girl Songs)
Friday Staff vs Students dodgeball game

House points were on offer for all who participated.

The library also put on an amazing display with the International Women’s Day timeline in the foyer, library display and a range of suggested readings. Great work by the library team.

Thank you to Ms S, the SRC team and the Health & Wellbeing Leaders for coordinating the activities: Year 12 – Ava H and Charlotte H (College Captains) and Cinnamon S and Emily R, Year 11 – Summer C and Kate O’D, Year 10 – Emily W and Hunter G, Year 9 – Zoe H and Eliza R, Year 8 – Chloe K and Lucia B. Great work.

Dodgeball Comp Results

3 games were played today:

Staff v students
Girls (Staff and students) v Boys (male Staff)
Staff v Year 12 students

The 1st game (Staff v students) was the only game played that finished in a result, and Health & Wellbeing Leaders declared Staff the winners.

Pictured right is Cinammon (Year 12 Health & Wellbeing Leader) presenting the Staff v Student trophy to Shelby Hackett on behalf of the Staff.

Well done to our H&W Leaders, who are planning to make these friendly but fierce contests a regular feature (in a variety of sports/activities) throughout the year.
