Clonard was represented in both Junior and Intermediate competitions at the inaugural GISSA Gaelic Football Tournament.  The event was held at Hurst Reserve on October 30.  With only two teams in the junior division, Clonard played Kardinia International in the final. Many of the students representing Clonard had only had minimal exposure to Gaelic football before today and performed extremely well, coming away with the win by three points.  Isabell Cheel was awarded the best players medallion for her performance in the final.

The Intermediate competition had four teams. Clonard finished on top of the ladder at the end of the round robin winning all three games against Iona, Christian College and Geelong Baptist College.  In the final they faced off against Christian College.  After a close first half the Clonard girls broke away in the second half to take out a comfortable win.  Ava Bilyk was awarded the medallion for the best player for the Intermediate girls across the day.

Special thanks go to Meagan Canaway and Matt Wapling for their support of the day and to the Year 9 and 10 students who assisted with the set up and pack up as well as refereeing games.
