Adele is a member of the Sisters of Mercy (ISMAPNG).

Inspired by Pope Francis and his vision in Laudato Si’ – On Care for Our Common Home, and Laudate Deum-On the Climate Crisis, Adele works on integral ecology in advisory and communications roles in the church, education and community sectors, both locally and internationally.

Adele is an experienced educator, practical theologian, presenter, and digital media producer, with advanced qualifications in Theology, with a Master of Theology, (Melbourne University of Divinity, 1990,) The Land as Sacred, and a Master of Arts, in Media Arts (Deakin University, 1995,) One Action Towards Reconciliation.

Adele is also an Honorary Fellow of Australian Catholic University, in the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy.

Over many years, Adele has written and produced large interactive digital productions such as ‘Lore of the Land’, ‘Mercy and Justice Shall Meet’ and ‘Becoming One Body, One Spirit in Christ’.

Adele also led the development of the Mercy International Theological Reflection Process.

Her recent work with the Vatican Dicastery (DPHID) has been as the Oceania Coordinator of the Project Doing Theology from the Existential Peripheries.

Adele was awarded the Order of Australia Medal in 2021.
