A number of Year 7 classes are refining their bike riding skills during their Bike Education classes as part of the Term 4 PE program.

On Friday morning in the glorious sunshine on Hurst Reserve, Mr Wapling, Mr Houlihan and Indi, put the Year 7P class through their paces, working on a number of bike riding skills. This is in readiness for a few weeks time, when the students take to the local streets and put their skills and new learning into action.

The skills practised today were based around sharing the road with other users, in this case, other bike riders. Basic road rules were discussed. Giving way was one such rule. In the ‘Figure Eight’ activity, students were instructed that when there is nothing to tell you what to do, that is signs, lines etc, then you must give way to those on your right.
