Over term 4 our Year 7 students have undertaken learning in Religious Education around the Catholic Social Teachings, Pope Francis’ Encyclical Laudato Si : On Care for our Common Home,  Jesus’ parables and the personal attribute of taking responsibility. They are now transferring this knowledge and skills to respond to the essential question from our Kildare Ministries Living Justice Living Peace Charter: What response is required to heal and protect our communities?

Year 7 students are critiquing campaigns for social change as well as creating them, using the Harvard University Graduate School of Education’s Design for Change framework.  Here you can see Ms Helen Purnell’s Year 7 White Religious Education class undertaking a feel, think, do protocol as they work collaboratively focusing on change in their personal life, school and wider community.
