Jess Walton is the author of the graphic novel, Stars in their Eyes and a contributor to Meet Me At The Intersection; a collection of stories and memoir which Year 9 students at Clonard are presently studying.
Jess spoke to Years 9 and 8 students in the library about their writing process, their journey to becoming a published writer and their experiences of being a non-binary queer author.
Students were given tips on writing creatively which included an activity where they learnt how to create a moment between characters in a graphic novel.
Jess fielded a range of questions from students and a select number of students were lucky enough to receive signed book giveaways.
