Year 7 Water Displays

Clonard College students in year seven Humanities have been examining water in the world as part of their Deep Learning Project: Why is water so important?

Students collaborated with each other to research and analyse the different uses of water in our world and of how each of our lives are affected by water and how we can conserve water more effectively.

Curated web resources and non-fiction books from the library collection helped students to deepen their investigations and students were able to present their findings in a number of ways.

Some of their presentation examples included: water saving devices, the creation of a sustainable water environment, visual displays examining the spiritual and cultural value of water for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as well as developing campaigns for better water usage in our communities.

Examples of the student presentations are currently being exhibited in the Brigidine Centre library and library foyer.
